DeZign for Databases is an effective and reliable utility that comes in handy for database administrators and designers who need to build SQL scripts based on their diagrams such as UML (Unified Modeling Language) or ERD (Entity-Relationship Diagram).It helps you to build a logical model of your business data and automate your work by generating complete DDL scripts and creating alteration code to modify your database.The main window of the application is easy to work with and allows you to view all the active diagram objects instantly. The ‘Object browser’ panel (dockable at the left side of the window) helps you to navigate through diagrams, entities, domains, procedures and views. The right-click menu enables you to create and delete objects for each selected entity.By accessing the Diagram menu you are able to view or hide relationships, insert new sub-diagrams, change the background color, as well as select if you want to view all the available attributes, indicators and indexes.What’s more, DeZign for Databases provides the ability of updating a data model by connecting to a database. Irrespective of which database you choose to work with, be it Firebird, InterBase, MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, dBase or PostgreSQL, you can easily update a model from an existing database using a direct connection. This action can be performed from the Database menu.Additionally, you can generate reports by specifying the table properties that you want to appear in the document. Also, you can choose the list of objects within the table such as constraints, columns and triggers.After that, you can check your model to view if any errors or warnings are presented in the current diagram and validate it, then generate a new database with the selected objects.
