Ping measures your internet connection speed and determines the latency, which is the reaction time taken for your computer to respond to a request by another computer/server/network. Ping has more visibility since the multiplayer games got a wider spread; but it doesn't affect only the games, it's also affecting a multitude of internet activities. There are several ways that can measure the latency, either by online speed test, or standalone programs as PingTest Graph.

No GUI except a floating graph

PingTest Graph has no standard interface to display. After installation, a floating graph appears on the screen, and another green icon pops up in the system tray. The floater has no commands, and it can only be drag around the screen for positioning.From the system tray, you can right-click the icon and access a couple of quick settings, and a tab with all editable functions.

Constantly monitor the ping.

The ping is not a fixed value; it fluctuates as the data travel to a given server. During the trip there is a time frame, measured in milliseconds, for example, if your ping is 200 ms, it means that is the interval the data needs to complete the cycle.The floating graph continually measures that time and displays it along with a chart that presents the stability or the spikes in the connection. You can set the program to run at startup, to permanently keep an eye on your latency/lag if you have essential processes to execute.

Handy and compact lag detector

To sum it up, PingTest Graph is a handy tool for those users who need to monitor the network connection speed regularly. It has minimum levels of customization, but honestly, it does not even require that much of it anyway. Recommended for all users no matter the technical experience, as it doesn't require configuration.
