The Internet is filled with all sort of nice applications for various professions, one of them is Gateway IP Monitor. It's a nice program, packed with various handy tools that you could use in order to monitor the default gateways of IP addresses by using many methods.It sports a really intuitive graphical interface, but it could have used a nicer layout.

The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete, before you can use all of its tools. It sports a rather simplistic graphical interface that could use some more tools and an upgrade.Gateway IP Monitor runs as a Windows service, and as such you do not need to be logged on for the application to be active.

Monitor gateways easily

Gateway IP Monitor determines your gateway's IP address by connecting to a web page on the Internet that displays the IP address of the remote host. Gateway IP Monitor can notify you by email if the IP address changes, update a DynDNS entry, launch a custom application (process) or append the IP address to a log file.You can monitor the IP address of the default gateway and be actively notified in two ways when the IP changes, by receiving an email or updating a DynDNS hostname.

More features and tools

The Intervals dialog allows you to specify how often you want to check the IP address. The smaller the intervals the sooner you will be notified of an IP address change.Gateway IP Monitor puts itself to the system tray, when you minimize the application. When you right click the icon you see a context menu that allows you to perform a variety of tasks without having to open up the application.All in all,  Gateway IP Monitor is a very nice application that you could use for monitoring IP addresses.
