It offers support for C, C++, Java, PHP, Ruby, Python, Perl, TCL, Visual Basic and XML. The tool is capable of detecting code errors across multiple documents at the same time.

Browse a folder for all source code files

Following a quick and uneventful setup operation, you're welcomed by a user-friendly interface, where SpellCode asks you to select the directory that you want to scan for the source code. Subdirectories can be included or excluded.It's necessary to first pick the preferred programming language from a list and then perform a rescan on the location, since the tool cannot automatically recognize the language.

Syntax highlighting is supported

All files are organized in a tree view on the left side of the window. You can check the source code on the right while keeping in mind that the language-specific blocks of code have different colors to tell them apart easier (syntax highlights).

Fix code spelling and run the checker again

Below this area is another pane where SpellCode displays the identified spelling mistakes, location and type of each source file. Once you fix the mistakes, you can run the spellchecker again.
