The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can use it. StarPort Windows iSCSI Initiator sports a sleek and simplistic graphical interface, with all tools at hand and some nice features.The first thing that you need to do after launching the application is to add a new device, you can select it from the menu and access it by right clicking the icon in the system tray.
Configure the application
After having mounted a remote iSCSI device you can inspect its properties. You can select the device in the console, right click on a device and select properties from the popup menu.There's also the option to see if the device was created successfully. The application's functionality creates virtual disk based on two source devices called mirrors.These devices can be local Image File-compatible virtual disks or remote iSCSI targets. The first mirror is the main (or primary) mirror. The second one is used for fail-over or backup purposes.
