In depth
A closer look at WinMTR
WinMTR is a lightweight and portable application that combines the Ping and Traceroute commands to test traffic between your computer and a host. Since installation is not a requirement, you can just drop the executable file somewhere on the hard disk and click it to run. An alternative is to save WinMTR to a USB flash disk, in order to run it on any computer with minimum effort. An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows Registry does not get new entries, and files do not remain on the disk once the tool is removed.
