NetAnimate is a system tool created to offer you a simple means in which you can view the status of your network connection.It allows you to choose a network adapter that is installed on your computer and monitors the traffic that passes through it. After it is installed, NetAnimate displays a system tray icon from which you can access its features and view the information it provides.

Access network settings through a tray icon

NetAnimate adds a tray icon for all the network adapters that are active and are being used. A simple hover over them with the mouse cursor reveals the network device's name, MAC, IPv4, IPv6 addresses and traffic measurements. The latter shows you the traffic speed as well as the total size of sent and received data packets.A right click on one of the tray icons grants you access to adapter properties, the ‘Network and Sharing center’ and Windows firewall properties.

Customize monitoring

NetAnimate allows you to choose the details you want to view. It’s possible to toggle information about round bytes, MAC, IPv4 or IPv6 addresses. You can display just one type or combine them. The application also allows you to set the speed at which it updates the provided information.

Automatic monitoring

Besides the fact that NetAnimate allows you to choose the connection you want to monitor, it can also be made to hide the notification icon if the connection is inexistent. Moreover, the application can be set to run as soon as Windows starts.
