Better Network : A straightforward and lightweight application that provides you with a simple method for deleting unused wireless network profiles
In case you happen to use a laptop as a main method of accessing the Internet, you’re most likely relying on a wireless connection. Trusted ones get saved so you don’t write down the security code every time. However, you might want to clear all of them, process which is rather time-consuming by default in Windows, but you can rely on Better Network.
Lightweight, and easy to use
Requiring no installation to function, you’re free to take it for a spin as soon as it reaches your computer. What’s more, your Internet connection doesn’t necessarily have to be active during runtime. It’s possible to carry it on a USB flash drive along with other tools you want to use on the go, without leaving any traces, or modifying registry entries. All the application has to offer is found in a clean, pretty intuitive interface. A couple of sections make it easy to identify network lists and interface profiles. A few options need to be configured first, but this only means selecting the operating system architecture, which can either be 32 or 64 bits.
Select connections to remove
Once you pick the proper architecture, all saved connections are displayed at the press of a button. Note that the application doesn’t show just Wi-Fi, but also cable connections. These are enlisted along with details like profile name, profile guid, and signature if available.Apart from details, there’s also a checkbox next to each item, making it possible to select multiple ones for deletion. Related connection details, such as passwords, are not shown, and there’s no undo operation, so you need to be careful which connections you remove.
On an ending note
Bottom line is that there are various types of cleaning operations, including removing all credentials for network connections you no longer need. As such, Better Network makes the whole process a walk in the park, and you can even use it on the go.
