Video capturing and editing have greatly evolved throughout the years, with the possibility to create digital works of art with as little recorded material as possible. Amongst applications that make this possible, PHLUMX lets you mix two pieces of videos together along with various effects and settings, just as a DJ does with sound.

Time-consuming accommodation

One of the biggest disappointments is that the application comes with no included help manual and nor can one be found online. The overall design can take a significant amount of your time to get you familiar with all its features. No tooltip appears when hovering the mouse over buttons and it's pretty difficult to figure out what they do because of the size.

Separate options for each video

If you've ever used an audio mixing application there is a chance you don't spend much time learning. The center area is taken up by a real-time updating preview section of your work, with side panels letting you browse through selected media directories for videos.Two timeline views are displayed in the bottom of the main window where nearly all the editing is done. You can crop videos and only have bits repeating, as well as setting playback speed, each option getting applied for videos individually.

Various customization options

What's more, you can disable sound or boost it up to 256% and even bring up another window that just displays content so you can place in on another monitor. Custom titles can be added and positioned in the desired location. Video effects are also a method of enhancement, with the possibility to select several filters or even manage colors.
