Steeper is a simplistic video processing tool which allows you to perform several operations on clips, such as joining and cutting. It supports only the ASF and WMV extensions.This is a portable piece of software, so installing Steeper is not necessary. It means that you can save the app to a USB flash drive or any other removable device, store it on any computer and directly run its executable file.The most important aspect is that no leftover items can be found on the hard drive or in the Windows Registry after program removal. Plus, you can always have Steeper with you when you're on the move.The tool is packed in a user-friendly interface with a plain layout. Video clips can be imported into the file list by using only the file browser, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported.Processing multiple items at the same time is possible only in the case of file joining, but Steeper delivers good results only when merging two or more items of the same file type. In addition, you can cut videos by marking the start and end time values, change attributes (title, author, copyright, description), as well as remove an item from the list or clear the entire file queue.Steeper uses a low-to-moderate amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and allows you to specify the output filename and directory for the new videos. We have not come across any problems during our testing; Steeper did not hang, crash or display error notifications. The output videos have a good image and sound quality. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, the app's features may be easily figured out by beginner users. Unfortunately, Steeper has not received updates for a long time.
