It is also capable of extracting the audio stream to save it to MP3 format.The tool provides a few configuration parameters to advanced users, yet it is intuitive enough to be figured out by beginners.The installation procedure is rapid. However, it is advisable to be cautious because FVD Converter offers to download and install external apps that are not necessary for the program to work properly.The utility is wrapped in a user-friendly interface that consists of a standard window and intuitive options, appealing to all types of users. Video clips can be added to the list using either the file browser or drag-and-drop support. It is possible to process multiple items in batch mode.Displayed details include the play time, resolution, size and format type for each clip. It is suffice to point out the saving directory, output format and audio/video profile, in order to start the conversion procedure.Advanced users may skip the preset profiles and edit audio and video properties themselves when it comes to the codec, bit rate, frame size, FPS (frames per second), sample rate, and channel mode. Unfortunately, it is not possible to create new profiles.FVD Converter is able to stay on top of other windows. It has a good response time and delivers quality videos. However, the tool does not show any progress details during conversion, such as estimated or remaining time. It did not cause the operating system to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs during our tests. Although it uses low CPU and RAM, it slows down other active applications.Nevertheless, FVD Converter provides first-time and advanced users with a comfortable GUI and useful options for turning video clips into various other formats.
