AVISynth GUI is a feather-light application that represents a graphical interface for AVISynth, the script-based video editor which happens to be free and open-source. It doesn't require setup and lets you preview, trim and split video clips, among others.

No installation necessary

Since this is a portable program, you can save it in any part of the disk and just click the executable to launch AVISynth GUI. Another possibility is to save it to a USB flash drive to be able to directly run it on any workstation and edit video clips. An important aspect worth noting is that, unlike most installers, it doesn't modify Windows registry settings.

Clear-cut interface and options

Media content can be opened from AVI-formatted files only, as the name suggests. The tool shows the .AVS script and enables you to change it, as well as import a new one from the external file.
