Bobabo Media Converter is an application with a pretty self-explanatory title - it allows you to encode media files to various formats including MP3, AVI, FLV and MP4.The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. Media files can be imported into the list by using either the file browser, treeview or "drag and drop" method. Batch processing is allowed.In the list you can check out the name, length and output directory of each file. Plus, you can preview clips in a built-in media player and enable Bobabo Media Converter to stay on top of other processes.So, all you have to do is specify the output destination and file type, in order to proceed with the encoding job. But you can also configure audio and video settings when it comes to the size, frame rate, bit rate, channel mode, sample frequency rate and others.During conversion you can check out a progress bar and enable Bobabo Media Converter to automatically turn off the computer or to open the output folder when it's done. The tool asks you before overwriting files with existing names. In the "Options" area you can set a default file filter and integrate Bobabo Media Converter in the Explorer context menu.The simplistic tool takes up a very high amount of CPU during conversion but quickly finishes a task and generally manages to keep a fair image and sound quality. However, the video doesn't play smoothly in all cases, as shown by our tests (e.g. FLV-to-MOV, AVI-to-MOV). Plus, there is no help file available and the interface is dull. We recommend Bobabo Media Converter with reservations.
