We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, as it didn't freeze, crash or prompt error messages.Too bad that it doesn't offer support for batch processing, in order to convert multiple images at the same time. Nevertheless, gif2apng offers an effective solution for turning animated GIFs into animated PNGs, and it can be easily used.
