PikConv is a small-sized and portable piece of software designed to turn image files between multiple formats, namely BMP, GIF, JPEG and PNG.It does not feature over-the-top options or configuration settings, so it can be handled by all types of users, regardless of their level of experience with graphic processing software.

The advantages of portable apps

Since there is no setup pack thrown in the mix, you can save the app files in any part of the hard disk and run the executable file directly, as well as store PikConv on a USB flash disk or similar storage unit to run it on any PC seamlessly, as long as it has .NET Framework installed.An important aspect to take into consideration is that the Windows registry and Start menu do not receive new entries, so there are no traces left behind after the tool's removal.

Simple and intuitive interface

The GUI is represented by a single window with a simple structure. It does not stand out in the visual department but it is easy to work with. Batch processing is supported, meaning that you can convert multiple images at once to reduce overall task time.

Easily configure settings

So, you can select the output and input image format (convert only specific formats from a folder with multiple file types), optionally include all subdirectories, ask the tool to automatically delete the original files on task completion, as well as establish the saving directory.

Performance and conclusion

PikConv does not put a strain on PC performance, since it runs on low CPU and RAM. We have not ran into any type of issues throughout our evaluation, since the app did not trigger Windows to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. It carries out conversion swiftly and outputs quality pictures.
