Tiny Image Converter is Java-based software application designed to help you seamlessly modify the format of image files. It offers support for JPG, GIF, PNG and BMP photos and features only basic settings that can be easily figured out by users, whether they have previous experience with such software or not.

No installation required

Provided that you have Java installed on your computer, no additional installers are required. It is enough to save Tiny Image Converter's JAR file in any directory on the hard disk and just click it to launch the app.There is also the possibility to save Tiny Image Converter to a USB flash drive or other removable device, in order to run it on any PC with Java installed. Plus, the app does not modify Windows registry settings or create extra files on the disk without permission, thus leaving no traces behind after its removal.

Clear-cut interface and options

The GUI is user-friendly, represented by a normal window with a plain and simple structure, where you can import photos using the file browser only, since the drag-and-drop method is unsupported. Batch processing is possible, which means that you can work with multiple items simultaneously, in order to reduce overall task duration.

Easily and quickly convert photos

The task list shows the name, original format, location and dimension of each file. It is necessary to establish the output format and directory, in order to start the conversion operation. There are no other noteworthy options available. For example, Tiny Image Converter does not integrate options for modifying the output image settings (e.g. size, quality).

Evaluation and conclusion

Tasks are carried our quickly while Tiny Image Converter remains light on system resources. There were no kind of problems in our evaluation, since it did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. Although it does not integrate rich features, configuration settings or file type support, Tiny Image Converter gets the job done and can be used by anyone.
