Simple installation process

Editable Text, an add-on built for Paint.NET, makes no exception as it delivers the possibility to edit a string of characters even after saving the layer containing it.Generally, when saving a text layer there is little possibility to modify the content itself and only its position can be altered. However, Editable Text offers the chance to make some changes.The tool requires minimum computer knowledge to be added into the image editing program and most users familiar with Paint.NET should already know the drill: extract the extension content from the archive and place it into the “Effects” folder of Paint.NET.

Using the extension

At the next launch of the program a new entry, called Tools, becomes available under the Effects menu, which contains the text editing functionality.Editable Text works by saving the text information in the layer of the image itself, which is a steganographic method. Keep in mind that editing the text works only if the text layer has not been merged.We tested the product and it proved successful even after loading an image with Paint.NET layers (PDN).The functions available include changing the font type, size, color and even styles. Moreover, you can move it to a different position and even change its orientation.

Editable Text is a simple tool that makes Paint.NET image editing solution more flexible. It provides the necessary functions to alter text that has already been locked in the layer but it does not store all the details associated with the string (font, size, etc.)
