BackGrounder : A simple-to-configure and compact program that helps you scale and trim images, while offering support for previewing and exporting options
BackGrounder is a lightweight Windows application built specifically for helping you scale and trim images in only a few steps.
Simplistic layout
It sports a clean and simple layout that offers only a few dedicated parameters to tinker with. Everything is kept as simple and clear as possible, so even rookies can master the entire process with minimum effort.
Basic functionality
BackGrounder gives you the possibility to add pictures into the working environment using the built-in browse button, so you cannot rely on “drag and drop” operations. It works with a single file format, namely JPG, and the resized photos can be exported to the same file format. You can view the images in the primary panel and resize items by specifying the x and y coordinates. The lack of configurable settings makes it an ideal tool for rookies who don’t want to spend a lot of time configuring the dedicated parameters. However, it would have been useful to see support for different file formats that can be scaled or trimmed.During our testing we have noticed that BackGrounder carries out the process very quickly. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t hamper computer performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.
Bottom line
To sum things up, BackGrounder offers a simple software solution when it comes to helping you scale and trim images. It can be easily installed and configured by all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
