IM Picture Viewer is a lightweight piece of software that you can use to view all photos from the special "Pictures" folder window. It offers support only for JPG and GIF format.

Needs .NET Framework to work properly

It's not necessary to install this program because it comes packed in a single .exe file that you can save anywhere on the disk and just double-click to bring up the main app window.Also, you can keep IM Picture Viewer stored on a USB flash drive and fire it up with minimum effort on any workstation to view its pictures. However, make sure that .NET Framework is installed or it won't work.

View all images from the Windows "Pictures" folder

As far as the GUI is concerned, IM Picture Viewer opts for a single window that shows all settings it has to offer. All you have to do is click the "Load Pictures" button to load all files from the Windows "Pictures" folder.

Supports only JPEG and GIF files

Only JPEG and GIF files will be loaded while files with any other formats will be ignored. You can check out the image contents in a built-in pane of IM Picture Viewer, mark any files as favorites, load only the favorites, as well as delete favorites.Unfortunately, this is where IM Picture Viewer's functionality ends. Sadly, it's not possible to view images in full screen mode or at least in their original size since the viewing area doesn't automatically fit to the margins when maximizing the window.

Modest image viewer with little to offer

It would've also been welcomed if IM Picture Viewer offered support for more file types, such as PNG and BMP, and if it enabled you to open images from any location on the disk, not just the "Pictures" folder.Although the app hasn't received updates for a long time, we didn't have any compatibility issues with Windows 10 in our testing.
