2D Tileset Generator is a lightweight application that enables you to generate 2D tiles for various platform games that you are working on automatically.

The setup is quick, straightforward and does not require any special attention from your part. Upon launch, you are welcomed by a modern, appealing and well-structured interface that is split into three main regions.While in the uttermost left side you can browse through the available patterns and shapes, you can preview the design in the middle panel. The program allows you to preview the tiles separately as individual parts, as a complete tile and side by side, options that allow you determine whether this is the appearance you are looking for faster.

Allows you to customize the top and bottom shape

In case you want to make some modifications to the tilesets, then you can do so from the Properties panel. To be more precise, you can change the colors for the upper and lower part by replacing the values with the desired HTML color code. In addition, you can increase or decrease the opacity of the tilesets and include a specific pattern that helps blend them object more effective into your project.The application enables you to import more shapes, patterns and AlphaMasks, the latter being necessary if you want to add shapes to the tiles, such as slopes. You should know that the program only works with PNG images.
