kHED is a 3D modeling editor that can render low-poly models built for mobile gaming and other platforms with low processing power.

Intuitive interface

One of the first things users notice is the simplicity of importing basic 3D objects and modifying them. All default shapes are set on the right panel, and all users have to do is click on any of them, activate the panels related to one of the 3D axis in the main screen, and then drag the mouse button until the shape and size of that default geometric object reaches a desired size.The four main panels of the tool are related to each of the 3D dimension options (x, y, and z axis), while the fourth offers a general perspective view of the entire model.

Simple control features

The most important aspect of kHED is that you don't need to drag or do extra window shuffling just to inspect your created objects. Additionally, object controls are at your fingertips right in the upper toolbar, where you can choose to mirror, flatten, snap, weld, subdivide, and smooth the selected objects or groups with just a simple click. Additionally, users can access the program's UV mapping feature and place textures on their newly-modelled elements.After the modelling and mapping process is completed, users can either save the project to KHE file format, or, most importantly, export it to OBJ, 3DS, and SMD format. The last two formats will make your models compatible with Autodesk Maya and Valve's Source engine.
