It is highly useful since it allows you to load a source folder, then let it scan its contents, instead of having to manually import the supported files. The software features several powerful functions, such as finding text and replacing text, working with files from one or more folders.The searching process implies that you indicate the source folder, activate/deactivate scanning the subfolders and enabling/disabling extension filters. Type in the desired piece of text, then check additional options, such as make the search case sensitive, match regular expressions or whole words only. You can also activate multi-thread search, recursive or single time process.

Fast paces process and viewing results

The scanning process is fast, but still depends on the number/size of files contained within the source folder. An informational dialog box can indicate the progress. Once the scan is finished, the results are displayed in the dedicated tab, as a tree structure, under the host folder/subfolder. You can view the details in plain text, in 80 column text or as HEX codes.Additionally, you may save the search results as a project file or export them to a document format.
