abylon SELFCERT is a simple to use application that enables you to create digitally signed certifications for your applications. You may generate self-signed x.509 v3 certificates, based on the PKCS and RSA models, designed for testing or private use. The certificates can also be used to encrypt data.

Sign applications with specific certificates

abylon SELFCERT enables you to create a specific type of certificates, allowing you to enter information about yourself or the developer and contact details. You can enter the name of the certificate owner, their email address, the state or province of residence, city, country, name of the organization and the department.When this type of data is associated with a particular application, it gives credibility since it offers a rather high degree of credibility. You also need to enter the serial number, the period of certificate validity (the number of days) and the alias. Additionally, you need to select a particular RSA key, for encryption: the lowest level is 512-bit and the highest is 4096.

Create certificates without warranty

abylon SELFCERT allows you to generate certificates for testing only and does not offer guarantees or warranty for other purposes. Before you can save the certificate, you need to enter a password, in twin fields. Make sure it is a password that you can remember since it is required upon the installation of the certificate.The password generator allows you to compose a strong keyphrase, with random characters, by clicking one or several symbols. Each symbol represents a group of characters. Alternatively, you can enable the password scrambler, which mixes up the keyboard mapping.

Automatic installation after creation

abylon SELFCERT can instantly be installed after you create it. The certificate can be saved in a *.pfx file, in the selected directory; you may easily access it from the program’s interface and enter the password you set to properly install the certificate. The Certification Import Wizard allows you to easily install the tool.
