This can simply mean drawing, and one simple tool in this regard is found by default in Windows. There are also various alternatives you can download over the web, and Paint is a suitable example.

Note that the application relies on .NET Framework in order to function, so be sure it is installed on your computer to be able to benefit from all it has to offer. Chances are it’s already there, because modern Windows iterations come with it in the default set of features. Needless to say that you can carry it around on a USB flash drive since there’s no setup involved.The application is not to be confused with the homonymous tool found in Windows, not because of purpose, but because of practicality. Unfortunately, this one leaves much to be desired, and you notice this from the start, because of the rather rough visual design.

First of all, file support is limited to JPG and this goes for saving your creations. With no built-in possibility to open files, all your operations need to start from scratch, which has a rather significant impact on overall practicality.Second, the set of tools doesn’t really help create a masterpiece. Brush types only count as two, namely to draw freely, or lines. The free draw mode is only fitted with a circular brush, for which you adjust size, as well as color, but there’s a pretty limited palette at your disposal.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Paint is heavily underprepared to even compete with the default tool Windows puts at your disposal. You can’t work on existing files, while the set of tools at your disposal won’t even make for fancy pixel art.
