Picture Flipper is an easy-to-use application that you can use to rotate images when viewing photo albums. It offers support for BMP, JPG, GIF and TIFF types. However, you should know that it cannot save rotated pics.

Setup, prerequisites, and interface

The program gets unpacked fast and effortless, thanks to the fact that there aren't special options or third-party offers involved. You must have an old edition of .NET Framework installed, though, since it was developed with the help of this platform.As for the interface, it's quite obvious that Picture Flipper hasn't received updates for a long time. It has a rudimentary-looking window with a simple design that doesn't put emphasis on graphical elements.

View and rotate photographs

After using the file browser to find and open a photo, you can view it in the main window and select the rotating mode between spinning clockwise or counter-clockwise, as well as flipping vertically.Worth noting it that the action is not automatically applied when picking an entry from the list. Instead, you can assign it to the mouse to trigger it on each click. A basic animation is played between the starting and ending point of rotation, whose speed is adjustable between three levels. Aside from not being possible to save rotated photos, the tool doesn't even implement the options to enter full screen mode or to resize its window.

Evaluation and conclusion

This is a very old application that still works on newer Windows editions. It had minimal impact on computer performance and worked smoothly in our tests, without hanging, crashing or indicating errors. However, Picture Flipper offers a very light set of features.
