AnimateGif is a tiny and portable software utility that can quickly create animated GIFs from images. It offers support for GIF, PNG, JPEG and JPG format.The program bundles an intuitive set of options that makes the GIF creation process as simple as it can get.Since installation is not a requirement, you can drop the program files in any location on the hard disk and just click the EXE file to run.There is also the possibility to save AnimateGif to a pen drive or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any PC effortlessly, without previously installing anything.What's worth taking into consideration is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and no extra files are created on the disk without the user's approval, leaving no traces behind after eliminating the app.The interface is represented by a regular window with a neatly organized structure, where you can add images to the list using the file browser only, since the drag-and-drop method is unsupported; it shows the full path for each item.All you have to do is establish the delay time between each frame (in milliseconds), adjust the quality of the GIF animation between low, balanced and high (file size and quality ratio) and, optionally ask AnimateGif to loop the animation. Once the output directory and file name are established, you can proceed with the conversion process by clicking a button.This task doesn't take a long time to finish, during which AnimateGif uses low CPU and RAM. It has a good response time, works smoothly and delivers quality animated GIFs. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, since the app does not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.Taking into account that AnimateGif has limited features, it comprises the necessary and suffice elements for creating GIF animations quickly, and it should please all types of users.
