PhotoFlair is an intuitive application designed to offer simple ways to edit and enhance images. It also features the Retinex option, which automatically enhances the photo and provides simultaneous adjustment of dark and bright regions and sharpens the image attributes.

It's wrapped in a well-organized and clean interface, which supports tabs to open multiple pictures. Plus, all the necessary options are packed in a simple toolbar and located in plain sight. The supported image formats are JPG, BMP, PNG, TIFF and PPM. The app also offers navigational arrows to easily switch between your pictures.

Process numerous items at the same time

A nice addition is the batch process function, which helps you correct or enhance pictures simultaneously by selecting the desired tool (Retinex, blur, sharpen) and the output location. If you want to view specific details, you can zoom in and out of the image. It's possible to rotate the item left or right, transpose it, and flip it vertically or horizontally.

Customize the picture with several effects

From the menu, you can enhance the photo's attributes by applying effects, such as blur, despeckle, gamma, grayscale or sharpen. Sadly, there is no option to adjust the brightness, contrast or hue, nor to insert symbols, shapes or lines. It would've been a plus, if the app offered some drawing tools to add a touch of personality to the images.

During our testing, the batch operation ran the tasks swiftly and didn't encounter any issues. Plus, it didn't consume too many resources.
