A closer look at VR-Render
VR-Render allows to visualize DICOM, InrImage, Jpeg, Vtk and FwXML images in 2D slices (Frontal, Sagittal and Axial view) or in 3D thanks to volume rendering. Like all volume rendering systems, it requires a transfer function allowing to parameterize the 3D view. Several automatic rendering functions have been incorporated for CT-scan images in order to simplify the software use. It also allows to visualize a 3D MPR view of the medical image, an oblique plane. It can also visualize 3D modeling of patients done with the VR-Anat software developed by IRCAD.
