When maintenance starts, the screen saver is called to protect your data, the tasks are performed sequentially, and upon conclusion, the computer is shut down (or not, you choose). When the day is over, let AFXShutDown to tell others to get the job done for you.Option to bring the screen saver up when the maintenance starts, or when the systems calls it, or immediately.Timer to chose the moment the maintenance starts: After a programmable number of minutes, at a fixed hour, or immediately.The maintenance options can be run or not by selecting them through check boxes.For cleaning the disk, Windows’ CLEANMGR is setup as default.To repair files, Windows’ SCANDSKW is setup as default.For defragmentation, Windows’ DEFRAG is setup as default.Externals programs for Antivirus and Backup have to be provided by the user.Upon conclusion of the maintenance tasks, you can chose whether thecomputer stays on or shuts down.If any of the externals programs is not available, the Actions panel shows a red flag. Even if the program is checked to run, it will be skipped.Parameters for the execution of the external programs can be setup and passed with the Options window.If your PC does not have automated Shut-Down, it will bring it to the point where it is safe to shut the power off.
