Get started in no time at all

The program comes in the form of a single executable file, and you don’t need to install anything before using it. However, it is worth noting that Microsoft Excel needs to be available on your computer for images to be processed successfully.Working with the utility is very simple. First of all, you need to load a BMP, JPG, GIF or PNG image file, and then select the folder where the generated spreadsheet should be saved. Next, click Start and let the software do its thing.

Straightforward pixel art generator

You should keep in mind that the operation could take a long time, especially when processing a particularly large image. The Cancel button doesn’t seem to work at the moment, but you can always just close the application if the job is taking too long.When everything is done, the pixel art will be exported to an XLSX file in the selected output folder. Each pixel in the original image is shown as one cell in the spreadsheet.

Useful but fairly rudimentary utility

We did not run into any major issues during our tests, as the program was able to process every image successfully. However, since this is the first working version of the program, encountering one or two bugs shouldn’t surprise you.Overall, ExCell Art Generator can certainly get the job done, though it would be nice to see some more features added in upcoming releases. In the end, though, if all you need is a simple tool that can convert image content to Excel spreadsheets, this utility may be just what you were looking for.
