Extreme Injector is a software application you can use to inject DLLs into your currently running processes, in order to run code with the address space of another process. This way, you can change its behavior. It doesn't require installation and can be easily handled, thanks to the fact that it comes bundled with a straightforward set of options.Before proceeding any further, you should know that, due to the nature of the application, some antivirus applications flag Extreme Injector as infected. These are, in fact, false positives and the tool can be safely used without worrying about security breaches.

Inject DLLs using a portable application

Since the tool is wrapped in a portable package, you can simply double-click the downloaded .exe to reach the main window. The whole interface is represented by a single window that shows two buttons for selecting a DLL file and performing an injection.Your currently running processes are automatically detected by Extreme Injector at startup, so you don't have to click any buttons to trigger this. In addition to the process name, it shows the process ID and full path on the disk.

Choose a process for the DLL injection

In the following step, all you have to do is select the process you want to modify, find and select a DLL file using the integrated file browser, then click the "Inject" button to make the injection right away. This task shouldn't take long, after which the tool shows a notification message to let you know it's over.All that remains at this point is restarting the process to see if it was successfully injected with the specified DLL. There are no other options implemented by this application. It would've been useful to have a button for restarting a selected process from the main window, in order to speed things up.

Easy-to-use DLL injector

The tool worked smoothly on Windows 10 in our evaluation, without errors. It performed the DLL injection quickly while remaining light on system resources usage. All aspects considered, Extreme Injector turns out to be a basic DLL injector.
