Its interface is represented by a single window with a clean and intuitive layout, where you can start the scanning procedure by pointing out the target drive or directory. This can be performed in quick or full mode.Once the scan is done, Hidden File Finder displays a message dialog with total found files and folders. The list of results shows the name, type, size, date and full path for each item, along with elapsed time, total scanned files and folders, and total, hidden and shown items. Information can be exported to an HTML file for closer inspection. Making selected items visible is done with the click of a button.
Configure various scanning options
As far as scan settings are concerned, it is possible to recursively scan subfolders, skip hidden directories, ignore zero-sized hidden and shortcuts files, as well as ignore known hidden files types such as INI, DB or BIN.The program contains help documentation, carries out a scan job rapidly and uses low CPU and RAM, so it does not hog system resources. It has a good response time and works fine, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation.
