The FileProt application was designed to be a simple program that opens a few files for reading, and doesn't close them. This denies all requests to other programs to delete, modify, and rename. That means that no one will be able to mess with your files as long as they're protected by this program. However, remember that one can rename the directory where the file is stored (Windows allows this) and restart the computer. FileProt will then not find the file to protect.
