Karen's Recycler is a simple application that facilitates a user-friendly workspace for viewing and emptying each drive's Recycle Bin. This way, you can free up space on the hard disk and make room for new files. It doesn't require previous experience with disk cleaning tools.
Setup and interface
The installation takes minimal time and effort, after which you're welcomed by one window with a clear-cut structure, representing the entire interface. It shows all options provided by the tool.All identified disk drives are loaded at startup, whether they're local, removable or network locations. Displayed information includes the drive letter, volume name, number of deleted items, amount of total deleted size, and free space (bytes).
Empty the recycle bins of all drives
Selecting an item from the list means selecting its corresponding recycle bin. It's possible to select one or more items, as well as to click a button to select all bins if there's a long list of drives.Emptying all selected bins in Karen's Recycler is done with one click. Furthermore, you can just as easily create shortcuts to the bins, as well as refresh shown information, in case new modifications have been made in the meantime. Command lines are supported for experienced users who prefer Command Prompt to the graphical interface.
Evaluation and conclusion
Although it hasn't been updated for a very long time, Karen's Recycler worked smoothly on newer Windows editions in our tests, without freezing, crashing or prompting error messages.
