If you often need to shut down certain processes, some of which may be running in the background, a simple, convenient method of doing so can be very useful indeed.QTask is a small application designed for this specific purpose – it enables you to shut down one or more processes instantly, based on a list of task names entered in a configuration file. It lacks a GUI, but it is very easy to use and can even be run silently in the background.
Simple enough to configure and very easy to deploy
When you run the program for the first time, a configuration file is created in the user folder (%localappdata%\Hawaii_Beach\QTask). You will need to open it in a text editor and enter the process names of all the tasks you want to kill, one per line, but make sure to leave out the extensions.Once you have finished these configurations, the application will shut down all the listed processes as soon as you launch the executable file. A log is displayed in a command-line window by default, but this feature can be disabled.
Convenient task killer that can also be run quietly
If you want QTask to run in the background without bringing up a Command Prompt window, you need to launch the executable using the “--quiet” argument. The processes saved in the configuration file will be killed without any confirmation message being displayed.A few other arguments are also available, and you can view all of them in a command-line window by using the “--help” argument when running the program.

Overall, QTask is a very handy tool if you frequently need to shut down a number of processes and want to do it as efficiently as possible. It is very lightweight and not at all difficult to configure.
