The RAMspeed application was designed to be a command line tool that measures effective bandwidth of both cache and memory subsystems. It has been written entirely in the C language for portability purposes back in the past with benchmark routines coded in assembly language as well for performance reasons. However, it has been decided to distribute the Win32 branch of RAMspeed with assembly powered benchmarks only.
