Overview
What is ATSEND?
The ATSEND application was designed to be a small tool that allows users to send "AT" commands to Hayes compatible modems from the DOS command prompt, or from batch files.
In depth
A closer look at ATSEND
ATSEND does not need a DTR utility to make it work. DTR is handled directly by ATSEND. ATSEND follows the DSZPORT= setting if it's found in the DOS environment. ATSEND works with non-standard COM ports via environment variables COMBASE and COMIRQ. ATSEND can be used to dial a telephone. It is small enough to be shelled out to by most database programs to create dialing routines. ATSEND copies the results of a command to the modem to the screen, and to a text file called ATSEND.OUT.
