The setup procedure is very straightforward, and you don’t need to perform any configurations.Once the first step has been completed, simply unpack the archive and launch the executable file designed for your OS version. You can then mount a virtual drive pretty much instantly, although advanced users can also play around with the settings.

Take advantage of your video card’s memory for faster storage

GPU Ram Drive allows you to select the device to be used, choose a free drive letter, select the drive type and set the memory size. The default format parameters can also be customized.After mounting the virtual RAM disk, you will see it in File Explorer as a regular drive that can be used to store data. However, keep in mind that any files you store here will be lost when the program is shut down.The application is very unobtrusive, as you can minimize it to the system tray once the virtual drive has been created. To unmount it or change various parameters, simply click the tray icon.

Useful but rather basic application

Overall, GPU Ram Drive can be very helpful if you have lots of VRAM to spare and want to achieve the highest possible transfer speeds, but it doesn’t offer a lot of features at present, and the available documentation is quite limited. Nevertheless, this is a powerful tool in the right hands, and it has to be said that it is very easy to set up.
