FlashShuffler : Copy a random selection of files from one or more location to destinations of your choice, with options to randomly rename new files
It’s can get frustrating to build a playlist if your music collection is rich. What’s more, if playback is always in the same order, things get even worse. Luckily, FlashShuffler was developed in order to help you transfer a random selection of files on your MP3 player, but it can be used for more than that.
Can be used on the go
The application can run right after the download is finished, with no setup involved. This means it can even be carried around on a USB flash drive to copy files from other computers as well, without worrying that it gets affected, because system registries don’t need to be modified for things to work out.On launch, the main window shows up letting you get acquainted with what it has to offer. It’s split into two panes which are pretty similar in the sense that both need to be filled in with sets of folders. In addition, the input field is also fitted with a file type requirement field, which is filled in by default with MP3, WMA, and WAV, but you can add any extension for any kind of file.
Set maximum copy load and size
Unfortunately, FlashShuffler doesn’t allow you to drag folders over the main window to get them ready. On the other hand, the browse dialog comes with some advanced options that show important and library folders to make selection of your collection easier. You’re free to add more sources, and even include sub-folders.The destination can also be made up of multiple locations. There’s the possibility to have new files randomly renamed. When choosing the path to save new files, you also need to specify the maximum total size to copy, as well as number of files, with the application picking at random based on your input.
To end with
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that FlashShuffler is a practical utility which allows you to copy a random selection of files from one folder to the other. Although pretty lightweight, you can choose the total number of files and size to copy, and even have the new ones renamed.
