is a pulse shaping filter program which finds the pole-zero locations of a transfer function, H(s), for a matched filter.
H(s) equals a desired signal (Y-out) divided by a given input signal (Y-in). Both Y-out and Y-in are functions of frequency (not time). Group delay can also be calculated to compliment a given data set, thus providing a flat group delay.
The program's main objective is to minimize the intersymbol interference in a read/write channel for disk drives by shaping and slimming an isolated readback pulse.
