Duplicate File Finder is a proper choice for those situations where duplicates need to be tracked down in an automated manner and under a short period of time.This software application can find all copies created either by the user or by other programs and  send them to the Recycle Bin as fast as a click goes.

Interface and functions

The interface is rather simple and minimalistic as the files can only be searched for, checked and/or unchecked and sent to the Recycle Bin for further processing. The app offers two main options to define the searching process: one will find the exact duplicated files and the other will find similarities between files, ones that can be adjusted by the percentage dropdown located at the right of "Find Similar Files" option.The app has no other hidden setting or dropdowns. Also, a second interface is opened after the "Start Finding" button is used. This second interface will give you control over the found duplicates, as saving the list as a TXT or sending the selected files to the bin.

While searching for duplicates the program gives you to ways of doing it. One way would be selecting the targeted folder and finding all the contained duplicates no matter the format, or the folder can be searched under the extension rule by typing in the desired format: TXT, AVI, BMP, etc.After running a search, the found duplicates are displayed in the main frame as a list. From there, if deletion is the intention, Duplicate File Finder will send your files to the Recycle Bin. Note that this app won't permanently delete files from your PC, this still has to be done manually.
