SFVManager is a lightweight Windows application designed specifically for helping you create and manage SVF files.

You are welcomed by a simple interface that embeds several features in the main panel. Not the same thing can be said about the configuration window which looks a bit overwhelming at a first glance. However, there’s support for a help manual that provides detailed information about the tool’s capabilities.

Creating and checking SFV files

SFVManager gives you the possibility to set up unlimited paths and generate SFV files by defining separate behaviors for different file types. You may copy, move, archive, rename or delete SFV files and their contents, and mark SFV files as ‘skip’ or ‘hide’ in order to do not check the same items again.What’s more, you are allowed to start or stop the checking process, remove completed entries, check all files, and verify only the selected items.At the end of the checking process, the utility reveals a status to each file, namely ‘OK’ for items that are present and match the CRC stored in the SFV and ‘Invalid CRC’ for files that are present but do not match the CRC stored in the SFV. Items can also be marked as not found or ignored.

Configuration settings

You are allowed to remove empty folders without asking for confirmation, indicate which SFV files were created with SFVManager, and mark good SFV files automatically.In addition, you may define several default actions, namely move and copy data to folders, ZIP files or subfolders, and pick the default start task (search, search and check all file, check all files, or verify only the selected files).
