Every file is handled in a different way, with the default context menu presenting a set of available operations. Tweaking context menu options can be a bit of a hassle, especially since it depends on activity type. Luckily, SendToA3X comes with a great deal of enhancements based on automated scripts to process different files and folders.

Seamless integration in the context menu

It’s best to use an administrator account when installing the application, so it can properly integrate into the context menu, without messing up anything in the registry system. You’re free to use provided functions right after installation, with no system restart required to make them work.There’s no actual main window to the application, but some functions to bring up their own configuration windows. For increased efficiency, all functions are placed in the same menu location, namely in the Send To menu, just as the name suggests.

File operations, and advanced scripts

Most functions are scripts created with the AutoIt language, which doesn’t really need to be installed on your PC. These can easily be identified by the prefix. Note that some functions are dedicated to folders, while others work with almost any kind of file, but there’s a prompt to inform you when the wrong resource file is selected.The set of enhancements comes with quite the variety of possibilities. For instance, 7z archives can be converted into self extracting archives. Other options include the possibility to create a text list of the content of a folder, using custom parameters.Just to save some time, files can execute with custom parameters. Names and paths of files can be copied to clipboard through a dedicated function. Advanced options are used to convert VBScript commands into AutoIt, or the same with registry keys. Custom AutoIt scripts can also be loaded and used accordingly.

In conclusion, SendToA3X brings a powerful set of enhancements to file, and folder operations. Integration in the context menu is an advantage, although it would have been useful to see a dedicated menu item, besides bundling all of them in the Send To menu. Simple, and advanced operations can be performed, even custom AutioIt scripts.
