SysFile : Simple-to-use system information viewer that shows a list of installed software and details about devices and drivers, among others
SysFile is a very simple application that shows some technical details about your computer's hardware and device configuration, along with a list of installed software. It's a system information viewer that gives you the possibility to save data to file for closer examination.
Prerequisites and interface
Installing this program takes minimal time and effort, thanks to the fact that the setup wizard contains familiar steps. The only notable aspect is that you must have .NET Framework installed to be able to launch it.As far as the GUI is concerned, SysFile opts for single window that automatically loads all information at startup. When it comes to hardware details, you can check out the current date and time, operating system (including architecture type), PC name, registered owner and organization, along with the physical memory and CPU.
Info about installed software, drives and devices
The list of installed software shows the name of program identified by this utility, along with its version. Moreover, you can investigate info about your drivers (local, removable and optical drives), video (card, memory, driver version, display), monitors, physical disks (name, type, size), optical drives, input devices (e.g. keyboard, mouse), along with printers (both physical and virtual). As previously mentioned, all this data can be saved to file for closer inspection. This can be done by just pointing out the output directory, file name, and preferred format (e.g. TXT). There are other noteworthy settings available.
Evaluation and conclusion
Unsurprisingly, ot left a small footprint on system resources in our tests, running on low CPU and RAM. It worked smoothly, without triggering the OS to hang, crash or prompt errors, and it showed accurate data.Although it features a light set of options, SysFile offers a simple solution for viewing some system information, and it can be easily used.
