Shutdown Automaton is an intuitive piece of software that you can use to schedule a power management option for your computer.It includes standard settings that can be easily configured, even by users with little or no experience in software utilities.The installation procedure is brief and does not require special attention from the user. At startup, Shutdown Automaton creates an icon in the system tray area.So, you can shut down, restart, log off, lock, sleep or hibernate the computer on a specific time and date, on countdown, when the computer is idle (based on user or PC activity), or by monitoring a file, app, or end of process.Alternatively, it is possible to start an app by pointing out the EXE full path using the file browser, or to perform an enhanced shutdown. The last action can be carried out while cleaning up the PC from junk files via CCleaner, emptying the Recycle Bin and/or deleting the contents of a folder.As far as program settings are concerned, you can access the tool's basic actions through the web by setting up a port and account credentials, enable warnings prior to command execution, activate silent mode, as well as set Shutdown Automaton to start minimized and to automatically run at Windows boot until further notice.The program does not hog system resources, as it uses low CPU and RAM. It is very responsive to commands and works well, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. 4.5We have not come across any kind of issues throughout our evaluation. There is also a portable edition available, if you want to skip the installer and run Shutdown Automaton directly from a pen drive.
