BatterySaver is a lightweight and portable application that can perform specific actions based on the current battery status of your laptop. It can be easily figured out by all types of users, regardless of their skill level.Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can just drop the program files somewhere on the hard disk and click the executable to run.There is also the alternative to save BatterySaver to a removable storage unit, like a USB flash disk, in order to run it on any machine without prior installers.An important factor to take into consideration is that the Windows registry does not get new entries, and files are not left behind on the HDD, leaving it clean after removal.Once it is run, BatterySaver creates an icon in the system tray area, where you can open the right-click menu to load one of the preset profiles (Default, Toggle WiFi), reload the default configuration, and force an event (e.g. switch to battery or AC).By bringing up the Options panel you can add or edit existing profiles, namely their actions (e.g. ControlDevice, ControlService). There are no other notable options available throgh this tool.BatterySaver has minimal impact on system performance, running on a low amount of CPU and RAM. It is very responsive to commands and works well, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. We have not come across any issues in our tests. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, BatterySaver should please all users.
