SwarMala is an application developed to be a music composition and accompaniment tool that uses Indian instruments.

Dual software package

This audio companion comes as a double items bundle. The first is the SwarMala composer which helps users create their music using default instruments included in the software application. The program is a multi-track sequencer that carries up to 16 independent channels. Each song can be composed using one of the built-in audio tools or users can customize their own.Unfinished compositions can be saved to the proprietary SwarMala file formats like SWR and SMP, and they can also be exported to MIDI files or WAV file format. Additionally, SwarMala composer also enjoys a built-in sampler that allows users to play integrated instruments just by plugging in their MIDI keyboards or other devices.Additionally, thanks to Windows GS Wavetable Synth support, the application's sampler can also capture MIDI files via your computer's port and can convert it into an original SwarMala composition.

Music oriented features

The other companion application included in the package is the SwarMala Accompaniment program that replays MIDI songs created in the Composer. To enhance a variable playback, this tool provides three independent channels on which multiple compositions can be played simultaneously. Users can change the melody and percussion together with their afferent tempo, and can even have them played synchronously.The master rhythm can be increased every time the user wants, including the song's pitch controls. These sort of modifications are needed to relay the typical accompaniment of Indian classical music accurately.
