Gnaural : A programmable audio generator that helps you create binaural beats with different frequencies and export the audio files to WAV, AU, FLAC, or OGG file format
Gnaural is an open-source Windows application whose purpose is to help you generate binaural beats in order to change your brain states using different sound patterns.
User interface
The GUI looks a bit crowded so you need extra time in order to decode its features. A help manual is included in the package but includes only details about the actions that can be triggered with the aid of hotkeys. Online video tutorials show details about the configuration process.
Define a binaural beat program
A brand-new binaural beat schedule can be generated by providing information about the title, description and author. In addition, you are allowed to adjust the volume and balance, swap stereo and output mono streams.Gnaural integrates a graph in the main window which can be used for recording information about the base or beat frequency, volume and stereo balance. Playback buttons help you start, stop, rewind or forward the current audio selection. The application gives you the possibility to add various voices, such as binaural beat, pink noise, audio file, isochronic pulses, water drops and rain, undo or redo your actions, and cut, copy, paste or delete data points. The audio files can be exported to WAV, AU, FLAC, OGG, PAF, AVR, or CAF file format.
Extra tools
Gnaural helps you duplicate the selected voice, align data points for each voice, truncate all voices to a set time, connect to the Gnaural server, as well as send phase pulses to external programs (by specifying the IP address and port number).
An efficient programmable binaural beat generator
All in all, Gnaural accommodates an advanced set of features for helping you create binaural beat tracks with different frequencies, and is suitable especially for professional users. Not all of the program’s functions can be described as intuitive so you need to experiment with the configuration parameters in order to understand how it works.
