is a finite element analysis program for modelling civil and mechanical structures.
Grape allows you to use standard third order beam and truss elements to model a wide range of Civil and Mechanical structures. The graphical user interface is powerful and easy to use to quickly model a structure, apply loads and constraints, and analyze the model. Displacements, load and stress information and animation are available to determine the effect of the applied loading and constraints. Models can be created or imported from AutoCAD DXF files. Models can also be saved in DXF format.
Loads available include global loads and moments at nodes, global uniform loads, acceleration and angular velocity. Local element loads include trapezoidal loads, axial and torsion loads, thermal loads and loads and moments between nodes. Constraints or springs to ground can be applied in all 6 degrees of freedom at a node.
