Use the navigator to select files

The application comes with several advantages, and one of the most important ones is portability. Not only does this mean you can take it for a spin right after download, but you can also store it on a USB flash drive to carry around and use on other computers besides your own. Don’t worry, stability is not affected, because registry entries remain intact.A pretty confusing window shows up on launch, with some emphasis put on aesthetics which is not really necessary. Only two modes of operation

In order to select some files of interest, you need to use the built-in tree navigator, which isn’t really so comfortable, but you easily get used to it. All files inside a selected folder are displayed. Note that you need to select the files inside the list to be renamed, otherwise the process doesn’t target anything.There are two modes of operations here. On the one hand, you can choose to replace a specific character with another, but this only works with a single character at a time. This can be used as a method of removing spaces.On the other hand, there’s the possibility to assign a common name to all files. If this option is picked, the application also numbers the files to prevent conflicts from appearing. Additionally, you can choose to add a “copy” prefix to files. Note that original files are processed, with no undo operation.

It mostly comes in handy for organizing a collection where the content of the file is not really important, but you do need a guide and number given by the name.
